Does it affect ball flight?
No. The Perfect Divot does not change how the ball launches or flies.
It simply restores the small gap between the ball and the surface that naturally exists on real grass. Your club still strikes the ball the same way it would on turf, so launch, spin, and ball flight remain consistent with normal practice.
Does it damage mats?
No. The Perfect Divot is designed to sit on top of the mat and move with the swing.
The divot disc is soft enough to avoid damaging mats, and the tether keeps the product nearby after impact so it can be reused for the next shot.
It works with most commercial driving range mats, simulator mats, and home practice mats.
Will it work with simulators?
Yes. The Perfect Divot works well with most indoor simulators.
Because it simply elevates the ball slightly above the mat, it does not interfere with launch monitors or ball tracking systems. Many golfers use it with simulator setups to make indoor practice feel closer to real turf.
